Day5 - Leg6 - Bots+Zim - Back roads

Except for one of the chaps in our group this was the most enjoyable part of the whole trip from a biking and riding point of view. Why? Because there was a small "oops" on some loose gravel shown in one of the pictures below as he was coming down the hill.

Fortunately nothing much in terms of damage to body or bike, other than his confidence taking a small knock. With some help, encouragement and advice we were all off again having fun again in no time.

This is the daily blog from Africa4Adventure.com, in particular a short series on the Botswana and Zimbabwe - Giraffe Motorbike tour we attended during July 2011. Check out the original plans and route for the trip here.
More South and Southern African motor cycle tours on our list of tour route summaries are available, where we explore these sorts of motorcycle tour routes. Just choose one of our events and reserve yourself a place on one of the future motorcycle adventure safari events.
Such a cool place to ride

Couple of steepish rocky sections with loose gravel and protruding rock

Look closely & you can see where the tyre marks lose it on the loose gravel in the middle of the road

Waiting looking back to see the chap was Ok after a few challenging bits back the way

Stopped having a rest

Off again - Jono blasts off down the road
Looking at all the varied vegetation and rock in this region
