Day4 - Leg4 - Bots+Zim - Up the Zambezi

This is the daily blog from Africa4Adventure.com, in particular a short series on the Botswana and Zimbabwe - Giraffe tour we attended during July 2011. Check out the plans and route for the trip here.
More South and Southern African motor cycle tours on our list of tour route summaries are available, where we explore these sorts of motorcycle tour routes. Just choose one of our events and reserve yourself a place on one of the future motorcycle adventure safari events.

We turned around the Vic Falls in a large figure of 8 and then did a wide swing along the Zambizi going upstream for a few kms before coming back down to land. It was good to see all of the area from above because when you are on the ground there are a lot of bush and trees so it is difficult to get your bearings easily.

We flew over the Victoria Falls village, and then headed up past where all the river boats dock and do their cruises. Well worth the flight and something we will all remember for many years to come.

Zambezi with the boats along the side of the river
Another pass over the bridge with the village in the background
Probably more of a town than a village
Looking upstream - towards the source of the Zambezi - Elephant hills golf course visible
Our man the Pilot with Loekie looking in
Another view of the boats
Thundering steam and mist at the falls
Coming in to land
Vic Falls International not
