Day4 - Leg5 - Bots+Zim - Building bungi nerves

This is the daily blog from Africa4Adventure.com, in particular a short series on the Botswana and Zimbabwe - Giraffe tour we attended during July 2011. Check out the plans and route for the trip here.
More South and Southern African motor cycle tours on our list of tour route summaries are available, where we explore these sorts of motorcycle tour routes. Just choose one of our events and reserve yourself a place on one of the future motorcycle adventure safari events.

Normally many people would be a little nervous getting into a helicopter because of a fear of heights and so on, but today that was absolutely nothing compared to the fear of walking out onto the bridge over the Zambezi, looking at just how high it was that we were about to fly off the bridge and plunge into the 101m gorge below. Nerves and butterflies were in full flow. 8 big biking scared of nothing Adventurers were absolutely sh....g themselves!!

Looking at the downstream vi Falls from the bridge
Excitement, Nervous jokes and general tension as we waited for the bus
Driving down to the river at the border post we saw this
As we got to the bridge walking from the bus
We were both in awe of the sheer beauty of the falls as well as nervous about the jump
Loooooooooong way down....
See what we mean
Someone jumps
We arrive at the little hut where it all happens

Incredible sight
