Day4 - Leg9 - Bots+Zim - Leaving Vic Falls

This is the daily blog from Africa4Adventure.com, in particular a short series on the Botswana and Zimbabwe - Giraffe Motorbike tour we attended during July 2011. Check out the original plans and route for the trip here.

Well what a two days blast we had just been through! A Helicopter flight over the falls, A 101m Bungi jump, A Zambizi river raft booze cruise, an authentic Zimbabwean restaurant lunch and a night on the town. Best fun for a long time!! Now it was time to get back on the bikes and head off to Bulawayo, nursing lack of sleep and a hangover.

We were going to be riding past Hwange National Game Park but unfortunately not enough time left to stop over, which was a shame. But as it was we were packing in a huge amount for only 7 days on the road doing a total of 2500km. We now had about 450km to do before dark and time was fleeting, it was about 11:30 and sun sets at about 17:30.

More South and Southern African motor cycle tours on our list of tour route summaries are available, where we explore these sorts of motorcycle tour routes. Just choose one of our events and reserve yourself a place on one of the future motorcycle adventure safari events.
