Day3 - Leg3 - Bots+Zim - Road to Tokkie

This is the daily blog from Africa4Adventure.com, in particular a short series on the Botswana and Zimbabwe - Giraffe tour we attended during July 2011. Check out the plans and route for the trip here.
More South and Southern African motor cycle tours on our list of tour route summaries are available, where we explore these sorts of motorcycle tour routes. Just choose one of our events and reserve yourself a place on one of the future motorcycle adventure safari events.

Once though into Zimbabwe we only had about 60km or so to go to get to the little town of Victoria Falls, but in that space to road we saw a reasonable number of animals along the side of the road. I only stopped to take pictures of the monkeys crossing.

Then all too soon we rode into town and found our little "Tokkie Lodge". The plan was to drop our gear off at the lodge, get some lunch, spend time chilling on a booze cruise on the Zambesi, perhaps do a bungi jump then head off early the next morning. But we soon realised that was too much to acheive in one afternoon.

Loads of monkeys cross the road
There must have been about 30 to 40
Someone was being brave with their camera
This was our little lodge in Victoria falls - a converted house
We were welcomed witha few beers
One has to drink LIONs in the wild
Bikes parked as we arrived
Bikes moved round the back of the house
