Day2 - Leg13 - Bots+Zim - Chobe safari lodge

This is the daily blog from Africa4Adventure.com, in particular a short series on the Botswana and Zimbabwe - Giraffe tour we attended during July 2011. Check out the plans and route for the trip here.
More South and Southern African motor cycle tours on our list of tour route summaries are available, where we explore these sorts of motorcycle tour routes. Just choose one of our events and reserve yourself a place on one of the future motorcycle adventure safari events.

Chobe Safari Lodge right on the Zambesi river was such a pleasant surprise after a long ride. Today we had done about 540km or so. We sat there and chatted and enjoyed a few beers. I guess the noise level went up a little once we arrived and some of the residents who were trying to enjoy a peaceful sunset drink watching the game were probably left a little surprised. Having said that they were enjoying all the jokes and the tall stories.

The venue is really nice, with an open bar right out onto nature and it faces the sunset.
