Day2 - Leg12 - Bots+Zim - Speeding fine Chobe

This is the daily blog from Africa4Adventure.com, in particular a short series on the Botswana and Zimbabwe - Giraffe tour we attended during July 2011. Check out the plans and route for the trip here.
More South and Southern African motor cycle tours on our list of tour route summaries are available, where we explore these sorts of motorcycle tour routes. Just choose one of our events and reserve yourself a place on one of the future motorcycle adventure safari events.

Well it wouldn't be an African Adventure if we did not run into the Police for speeding at least once! Fortunately these chaps were reasonable and didn't give us too much hassle. They listened to reason and with a swift handshake we all left and celebrated with a beer at the Chobe Safari Lodge.

On the way we met a few more elephants coming into Chobe. Then chillaxed with a wide variety of beers at the lodge watching the sunset.
Initial shock at a potential 90km/h in a 60km/h zone - we hadn't seen any sign
Last of the elephants for the day
Quick top up of the last bit of petrol
Talking about the trip and getting to know Vaalie
Finally - arrived at Chobe Lodge for a well earned beer
All in great spirits
Sun setting on a wonderful days riding with great mates
Probably don't want to know what he was doing
