Karoo - Day5 Leg3 - Bethesda Breakfast

Breakfast was yet another feast, with more than we could eat, plus we were still full from the previous nights dinner. We looked around at the restaurant, inside and out, noticing a small building outside with the word PUB on it. But there would be no time to find out what it was like. We had to keep moving on and today our next destination was Prince Albert, via Steytlerville, which was a little out the way, but had some promising back roads to explore.

Before leaving we peeked through the Owl house hedge at the art to see what lay behind the fence, but didn't take any pictures, because we thought we'd leave that for a future visit. What did prick our attention was the casual building with a massive 2 meter dart tail sticking out of the side. See the picture below.

This is the daily blog from Africa4Adventure.com. A short series on the Karoo Motorbike tour we took on during September 2011. See the plans for the trip blog here: Planning a 6 day 2500km route through the Karoo maximising dirt
More South and Southern African motor cycle tours on our list of tour route summaries are available, where we explore these sorts of motorcycle tour routes. Just choose one of our events and reserve yourself a place on one of the future motorcycle adventure safari events.

Our restaurant we walked to for breakfast
Quite a big place that doubles as a shop

You can see the spread that was laid out before us
We saw a few interesting things out the window

Pub! Another mental note to test drive this place in future

The local Info centre

We loved this giant Dart in the side of the building!

Kitted up and ready to roll out onto the road again

  2. Yeah - it is an amazing place, definitely well worth a visit - probably even better a weekend stay-over.
