Second day 3rd leg - Witsand

This continues the series of my Motorcycle Adventure travels from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth which is the first goal, over a two day period. Details of the whole trip here.

Witsand is an amazing beach at the mouth of the Breede River here: Witsand Google Maps location

I finally blasted into Witsand looking for more petrol, keeping topped up just in case. I first looked for a garage and then after finding an old petrol station attached to the local store I was told they do not sell petrol anymore. I was told where to go.

On my way I found and stopped at a good view point overlooking the beach and the river that flows into the sea.

What an excellent place to spend some time on holiday overlooking both the river mouth and sea

From here I went to the local shops and found the Garage. Filled up and carried on out of town on the R322 looking for the turn off for a place called Vermaaklikheid.

Short visit, making a mental note to come back here for a weekend sometime and chill out on the beach with some long beach walks for miles.
