Even though we were going out into the semi-arid desert, spring was still very evident from all the fruit trees on the farms we passed along the way. We'd also ended getting onto and off of tar a few times, but fortunately this was one of the last bits of tar for quite some km until we reached Sutherland our destination for the day.
