Sunday morning early and it was finally time to get up and do the long ride back to Joburg. We also still had to make it through the Beit Bridge border post. We said our goodbye's to those that were left and headed off into the sunrise. Fortunately the border crossing was as smooth as it gets in Africa, relatively quick and uneventful, the perfect combination.
The trip home was a bit of a mad rush, a bit like horses bolting for home, but two of us slowed it down a little to savor the last few hours of the ride. the whole trip had been one extremely brilliant seven days, but fun filled and full of laughter. What more could you ask for? And of course we all had some new mates for life.
This is the daily blog from Africa4Adventure.com, in particular a short series on the Botswana and Zimbabwe - Giraffe Motorbike tour we attended during July 2011. Check out the original
plans and route for the trip here.
