Day3 - Leg4 - Calitzdorp - Seweweekspoort Ruins

This is the daily blog from Africa4Adventure.com, in particular a short series on the Calitzdorp Port and Wine festival we attended during June 2011.
More South and Southern African motor cycle tours on our list of tour route summaries are available, where we explore these sorts of motorcycle tour routes. Just choose one of our events and reserve yourself a place on one of the future motorcycle adventure safari events.

Coming out of the pass and into the drier side of the Karoo, we happened upon a few old ruined houses. One always wonders who used to live there, what they went through and why they left? Without getting into all sorts of research I guess we'll never know. It's always good to try and get a few pictures of these deserted old mud brick & stone buildings.

Old Farm house or Toll building? Not sure
