Day 23 - Leg 7 - Steytlerville Michelle's Verandah Coffee Shop

Well having arrived in Steytlerville on a Saturday afternoon, the only signs of life were at the local hotel where I noticed a bunch of men getting ready to watch the rugby on TV. I really felt like a coffee and so headed back down to the Verandah Coffee Shop I'd passed as I rode into town. It had a flashing neon light saying OPEN so I thought I'd try that and get something to eat as well.

I found the door locked but on looking around the back found Michelle and she quickly brought me a Cappuccino and a large home made muffin. We started chatting and it turns out she also comes from the same home town as I do. They moved here to pursue their dream of living in a small Karoo town and running a coffee shop (and more as you will see in the next blog)

All the visitor have signed the wall over the years - there was not even one place left for me to sign

I headed for a place in the sun and sat and relaxed

But this was the funniest of them all - Beware of these two? Must be very vicious!
