Unbeknown to me before having ridden this road - there is a single car wide section of contrete about 30km long on this leg of the trip, where because there is such a low volume of traffic, whoever travels along the road can keep on the concrete, but if you notice an on-coming vehicle you just need to put your one side of the car onto the dirt, as does the other driver and you pass ok.

On a bike you just stay put on the left hand side of the road or go on the dirt depending how fast or how big the on-coming vehicle is.
One of the only places I've seen this in South Africa

Mountains ever present in the distance

Note the tyre tracks on the dirt - as aproaching cars each put a tyre off into the dirt.

Another view of the concrete strip

The adjacent railway line glints in the setting sun

Trust bike patiently waiting

Coming into Willowmore
