The sun setting in this amazing terrain with the added massive clouds made for some incredible views. I just had to keep stopping to take pictures and absorb the wonder around me.

I had a minor incident with my bike falling over and breaking my indicator (kicks self again while thinking about how stupid it was!)

After this, it got dark and I spent a all of my energy concentrating on not hitting people and livestock on the side of the road till I got to Port St. Johns. Cars and trucks were coming at me with high beams on, driving rain, mist and it was impossible to see anything. I also had one car turn in front of me into a side road, me doing 60km/h in town, but I was only about 20m away as it turned. Nearly had more than just an indicator taken out!

Later near Port St. John's I found a car with its hazzard lights going. Fortunately I slowed right down and next minute there was a wounded cow sitting in the middle of the road right in my path! The car had obviously just hit it and was trying to tidy up the accident. Shame poor cow half alive still.

Lesson: Never drive in the dark in the Transkei on a bike ever again!

Now you see my front left from indicator

All sots of colour and cloud shapes

With blue sky in the background

What a nice place to have a home

Looking out over this valley with sunsets and colours like this

it was here that I stopped to put warmer clothes on and fell over with the bike

There was a 20cm drop off from the tar to the dirt, and coming back on I didn't give it enough juice

Fell over half on the tar on half off - broke my indicator - dented my pride - too busy looking at the clouds!
