Leaving Nieu Bethesda, we climbed out over some lovely hills with views back down over the fertile valleys and views into the distance. We stopped for a few pictures and then kept heading towards
Graaff-Reinet which in Karoo terms is the size of a city. In reality all towns in the Karoo are villages and this Graaff-Reinet is a small Town.
We also found a very long straight downhill where you could see for many km into the distance, see the pictures below. We were now off to a place called Desolation valley which sounds worse than it is!
