Day six - Dinner, Drinks and Snakes

Now in Durban and staying at Clintons place, we decided to head out to a favourite little Portugese restaurant called Neo's where we had some outstanding Mozambiquan / Portugese food.

After the food we decided to pop into the local pub and bumped into his Helicopter pilot mates, as well as interestingly some people from EU who had been recruited to assist for protection on the ships bound into Somalian pitate territory. We recognised them as we had seen them also looking to take pictures of the pirates ship earlier that day. (not in picture)

After that we headed home. Clinton lives on the 7th floor overlooking Durban and the sea. I needed to go to the loo, and as with most things in Africa, never a dull moment. I walked into his toilet and on the floor was a rather scary looking snake. This was strange for a 7th floor apartment. Well I know very little about snakes but anything red and yellow suggests danger to me, so I got out of there quickly. Turns out it was a Coral snake and not too dangerous. It was a pet of someone staying there that had got out!
