We then happened upon a do it yourself shop literally in the middle of nowhere, made out of the local bush called "muisbos". Nobody serving, just a trust system, where you see the price on the menu and leave the correct amount of money. They offered beer, cokes, food stuffs, even charcoal and wood for a bbq/braai! I loved the fact that you were also asked for a tip for the waitress - but the waitress was non-existent! You just leave the money in the jar for what you take and then continue your journey. How cool is that?
This is the daily blog from Africa4Adventure.com. A short series on the Karoo Motorbike tour we took on during September 2011.
More South and
Southern African motor cycle tours on our list of tour route summaries are available, where we explore these sorts of
motorcycle tour routes. Just choose one of our
events and
reserve yourself a place on one of the future motorcycle adventure safari events.
