Day 21 - Leg 8 - Freezing cold

One thing to remember is that in the Southern Hemisphere at this time of year ((June when I did the ride) it was heading into the middle of winter. I had also chosen to drive into an oncoming cold front and at a reasonably high altitude.

From the top of this pass you could see Africa spread out below you!

I stopped here for the views and to get warmer clothes on

There was a driving cross wind and it was cold - around 1 or 2 degrees C

You can just see how cold those clouds were up there - but you can't see them moving at speed!
